VINIFICATION: The grapes are gently pressed, then the must ferments in steel 12-16 days with cultured yeasts at 28-32°C, with pumpovers and délestage. The wine is then pressed off and racked into stainless steel for the malolactic fermentation. It finally goes to the ageing area, where it spends some 12 months in oak barriques

APPEARANCE: Purple-tinged ruby red, a selection from the finest lots of the vintage
BOUQUET: Rich, intense, and elegant, with notes of blackberry, black pepper, violets, roast espresso, and black liquorice
PALATE: Velvety texture, full-bodied, and well-balanced, with a hint of vanilla on the finish
SERVING SUGGESTIONS: To enjoy the wine fully, decant and let breathe before serving. Refosco Titianus is perfect with grilled red meats; Friulans traditionally enjoy it with game, in particular with pappardelle in boar sauce
