APPEARANCE: Deep ruby red tending to purple
BOUQUET: Heady, youthful and fruity, with emphatic impressions of wild blackberry and sour cherry, very distinctive
PALATE: As a young wine it is complex, tannic and with good acidic grip; it mellows as it ages and develops a pleasant bitterish note on the finish
SERVING SUGGESTIONS: Excellent with traditional regional pork recipes (pork knuckle, cotechino, pork ribs), accompanies tasty cheeses
